Jerole Isbell
Artist Statement

Since early childhood, I’ve been a realistic subject matter junkie.
I still love life’s daily moments, the pause and reflection and the wit. I will also show inanimate objects (drapery, dolls, toys, my own pattern-on-pattern sculptures—said to look like a dream
I should get checked out) set off kilter with a suggestion of human interaction. I like a good story.

I will mesh an instinctive broad, abstract brush stroke with photo real detail, with overdrawing and sometimes collage. The medium will be what works for the expression: oil, pastels, acrylic, watercolor and even collected stuff hanging around my studio.
